So if you are struggling to find a way to cope and need someone to talk to I may be able to help.

About bereavement

The consequences of loss, grief and bereavement can be bewildering and hard to control.    It is unknown territory and so we can find ourselves unprepared for it and it's fallout. It can feel overwhelming and consuming making it a lonely exhausting journey. It can be hard to talk to those closest to you because they are also going through their journey.  Friends may also be hard to talk to as you can feel vulnerable telling them your intimate thoughts and feelings.  This is why sometimes its easier to talk to someone who understands the process of bereavement and how a person can be consumed and affected by their thoughts.

It is normal to grieve but grief can manifest itself in surprising ways.  It can make you feel angry, withdrawn or numb and could even cause depression. It can deprive you of your happiness and peace of mind.

Bereavement Counselling could provide support during these very difficult life changing times.  Talking about your loss can help you to try to adjust to your life with a view to move forward.  Don't keep things bottled up share your sadness and feelings.  Once you can acknowledge your loss, in time, you can begin to carry on with life and accept the change.
